The Art & The Artist

My name is Charlotte, and I am a contemporary abstract artist based in Galway, Ireland. My work is guided by emotion, movement, and an intuitive relationship with colour. Through painting, I explore the language of feeling, translating breath, rhythm, and energy into compositions that hold both intensity and stillness.

The sky and the sea have always been part of my process. Living in Ireland allows me to connect with the ocean every day, deepening that relationship in a way that feels both grounding and expansive. The shifting light, the movement of water, and the quiet tension between calm and force continue to shape my work.

For me, painting is a place of return and peace. The canvas offers a space free from expectation, where instinct leads and something honest can emerge without resistance.

Through my contemporary abstract paintings, I invite the viewer into a space that is both personal and open, an experience carried by movement, emotion, and colour.
